Through Refugee Eyes is an independent photography project, created in April 2016 with the purpose of giving a voice back to the voiceless.
Whilst living in a tent, I saw many journalists and news channels waiting for fights to happen between refugees, so they could say that we would destroy their countries or steal their jobs.
This is when I decided to start something. When I received a camera from volunteers that I had been working with, I created the Facebook page, 'Through Refugee Eyes'. I decided that through this page, I would stand against all media that looked at refugees only from one side. I started to document what was really happening in the camps, by telling peoples stories and showing our reality, our positives and our negatives.
