January 2016, I arrived to Greece. I found myself stuck in refugee camps with nearly fifteen thousand people, living without knowing what the next day hold for us. We faced cold and hot weather in tents, and waited for food in lines. Despite the harsh condition, hopes and smiles filled the camps. Seeing the way European media presented refugees as hopeless, dangerous and ignorant people, pushed me to start documenting the situation by sharing photos and stories. I started doing photography with help of volunters who gave me a camera and equipments I needed. And quick enough, I was the insider eye and launched a project calls Through Refugee Eyes where I documented many stories.
